Ranch Sorting Clinic Offered For MFTHBA Members

Ever wanted to learn more about ranch sorting?  A fast growing cattle event, ranch sorting requires a team of two to work together to move cattle in numerical order; all while being judged by the clock.  The great thing about the event is that equestrians of all ages can participate.

Missouri Fox Trotters all over the country are participating in these types of events.  The 2016 World Show and Celebration will provide a unique opportunity for MFTHBA members to give the event a try.

“I am very excited we were able to partner with Cornerstone Productions to conduct this clinic,” shared Amber Wilson, MFTHBA Region 4 Director.  “This is an event that our members can get involved with in their home areas; plus it showcases the versatility of our breed.”

The clinic will start at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 9.  The clinic is free for MFTHBA members.  Non-members may participate for $40.  This fee includes a MFTHBA membership for 2016-2017.  Those interested are requested to sign up in the MFTHBA office.  “Pre-registering will help speed up the registration process on Friday morning,” shared Wilson.  “Non-members must pre-register and pay in the MFTHBA before the clinic.”

During the three hour clinic, three clinicians will help participants learn about the event.  Cattle will be available for individuals to practice with.  The clinic is scheduled to last until noon.  Those interested in attending are reminded to review the equine entry requirements.

The clinic is being offered free thanks to the generous donations of the following sponsors:
