Sam Gerhardt and Katie’s Midas Touch, Reg. #01-69377

Katie’s Midas Touch is my first MFT. He was about a 18 months old when I got him. I didn’t start him until he was 4. He was a handful for many years. There were times when I would have given him away or shot him! He National Trail Ride in Ava, an old timer told me that his sire, WGC Rex’s Golden Touch, could only be ridden by one or two men! This made me feel much better; Midas’ issues may not be my fault but his daddy’s! Midas is now 14 and has matured into a mount my granddaughter loves to ride. He is among the top 10 horses for trail hours in the MFTHBA Fox Trot America Program. He has become the best trail horse I could ever have! I love him dearly and wouldn’t sell him at any price.
