MFTHBA Medal Program

7 Trail Obstacle Points in this category may be earned at events sponsored by or similar to those hosted by the American Horsemen Challenge Association and Equine Trail Sports. The competition must be judged, include numerous obstacles, and be open to all breeds. Participants should contact the MFTHBA with information on events and the sponsoring organization before participating to determine if points will qualify. o Silver: 250 points o Gold: 500 points Trail Riding The Trail Riding category recognizes verified trail miles through programs like or similar to Top Trail. Participants should contact the MFTHBA with information on organizations before participating to determine if miles will qualify. Miles should be submitted at the end of the calendar year. The owner must submit a point submittal form and an official copy of their yearly miles by the end of February for the previous year. o Silver: 600 miles o Gold: 1200 miles Sport competition Sport Competition includes Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Mounted Archery, Jousting, and other similar events. The competition must be judged and be open to all breeds. Participants should contact the MFTHBA with information on events and the sponsoring organization before participating to determine if points will qualify. o Silver: 250 points o Gold: 500 points Ambassador The Ambassador category includes events that are not be judged but provide an opportunity to showcase the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse. These events include parades, equine expo demonstrations, mounted search and rescue, field trial events, foxhunting, drill teams, Fox Trot America participation, and other similar events. 10 points are awarded for each event participated. Fox Trot America participants will receive 15 points for submitting their yearly hour log and a bonus 15 points for reaching the 100, 250 and 500-hour patch. o Silver: 150 points o Gold: 300 points
