Region 10 Director Position Open

The Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association (MFTHBA) Board of Directors is announcing the Region 10 Director position opening. The recent vacancy occurred because no candidates filed within the appropriate time for the 2024 election. Consequently, the position became vacant on November 1, when the new board took office. Following the MFTHBA bylaws and rule book, this vacancy shall not be filled for 30 days to allow interested members to express their interest in the role.

Anyone interested in stepping forward should submit a letter of interest to the MFTHBA office by 4:00 p.m. (Central) on December 4, 2024. The MFTHBA Board of Directors will review the submissions and appoint an individual to fulfill this crucial role for the three-year term. Please be advised that preference will be given to an appointee from the region experiencing the vacancy.

Serving as a director requires a time commitment that includes attending regular board meetings, participating in planning sessions, and actively engaging with members to address concerns and promote the breed. It is a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on our breed.
