Each year at carnival, there is “horse market” in my little town, Gerabronn, in the south of Germany. It is not actually a market to sell (I think that´s what it was in earlier days) but more like a little show, kinda like a model class. I participated with my Fox Trotter mare, Patina, for the first time yesterday. She did awesome. And to my big surprise, the local judges who are much more familiar with German Warmbloods, knew about her breed and even told the audience about the Fox Trot and the origin of the breed. That was not the case a few years ago when we presented our older Fox Trotter mare, Dolly (Go Boy´s Baby Doll W.).
