Jester’s Charming King R Named Top 5 Stallion

Jester’s Charming King R. is owned by Becky Bailey of Russellville, Arkansas.

Congratulations to Jester’s Charming King R. on being named a 2020 Top 5 Stallion. He has been named a Top 5 stallion for eight of the nine years the award has been given.  He was bred by Larry Robbins of Farmington, Arkansas, and he is owned by Becky Bailey of Russellville, Arkansas.

Jester’s Charming King R.’s offspring did well in 2020. Notable offspring include the Amateur Owned 5 Years and Older Reserve World Grand Champion, King Basil R., owned by Brad Matlock of Omaha, Arkansas; the Open Amateur 4 Year Old World Grand Champion, King’s April Star, owned by Larry and Linda Kilroy of Bucyrus, Kansas; and the Open Amateur Three Year Old World Grand Champion, Check Mate, owned by Dawn Toler of Rogersville, Missouri, and Shanna Toler of Marshfield, Missouri.

The MFTHBA congratulates Jester’s Charming King R. and Becky Bailey. Thank you for your contributions to the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse breed.

The Stallion of the Year Award:

Designed to honor the stallion with the most successful offspring at MFTHBA sponsored shows, a point system was applied to pre-designated classes.  All World Grand Champion classes, Spring Show Championship Classes, and Three Year Old Futurity preliminary and championship classes were included in the calculations.  In 2020, 91 stallions earned points toward the award.

This week we will highlight each stallion in the Top 5 for the award leading up to the naming of the 2020 MFTHBA Stallion of the Year on Friday.

All Top 5 Stallions will be honored at the 2021 Spring Show and Futurity in June.
