KCRFTHA to Promote Missouri Fox Trotting Horse at Equifest of Kansas

The Kansas City Regional Fox Trotting Horse Association (KCRFTHA) will be attending Equifest of Kansas on February 24-26, 2017.  The event will be held in Topeka, KS.  Supported through MFTHBA cost share money, the KCRFTHA will have four horses attending to represent the breed and will be promoting both associations at their booth.

“Part of our affiliate’s mission is to promote the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse.  Equifest of Kansas is a great opportunity to do that,” said Shawn Stangl, KCRFTHA President.  Throughout the three day event, visits will have an opportunity to interact with the horses in the breed showcase area, talk with their owners, and pick up educational information.  The horses will be showcased daily in their breed demonstration.

“I have helped work the booth at Equifest of Kansas for the past 4 years,” shared Amber Wilson, MFTHBA Region 4 Director.  “People think of Kansas as stock horse country but each year I meet more and more Missouri Fox Trotting Horse owners.  Many of those owners use their Fox Trotters on their working ranches and farms.”

Those attending the event are encouraged to stop by the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse booth.  “Be sure to where your Missouri Fox Trotting Horse apparel as well,” shared Ms. Wilson.  “People love meeting fellow owners and it is a great way to promote our breed.”
