We would like to begin by apologizing for the delay in posting this summary. With the MFTHBA Spring Show and Three-Year-Old Futurity taking place last week, we were fully focused on hosting a successful event and are just now getting back to regular business operations.

This month’s meeting marked an exciting first—we tested a new livestreaming option, allowing members from across the country and around the world to watch the board meeting live. We appreciate those who tuned in and look forward to refining this tool to increase transparency and engagement.

Before the board meeting, the MFTHBA Board of Directors participated in a midyear planning session. During this session, directors broke into working groups to review progress on the association’s strategic goals and discuss innovative ideas to help ensure continued success in the second half of the year.

During the formal meeting, the board approved implementing summer office hours for the MFTHBA. From June through August, the office will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Central Time), Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, while the office will be closed to the public, staff will be working behind the scenes to focus exclusively on processing paperwork. This adjustment is designed to help staff complete registrations, transfers, and other member services more efficiently.

Additionally, the board approved show management for the MFTHBA Spring Show, a critical step in ensuring the continued quality and professionalism of this event.
