Recap of the May MFTHBA Board of Directors Meeting
The MFTHBA Board of Directors held its regular May meeting, and we are pleased to provide this summary of key actions taken. Please remember, this is a brief overview—the official minutes will be available on the Members Only section of the website following approval at next month’s meeting.
Celebration Schedule Approved
The Board approved the 2025 World Show and Celebration schedule. We’re excited about the plans and encourage everyone to watch for it to be posted soon.
Judges Renewals and New Cards Approved
Judge renewals and new card approvals were confirmed. Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in becoming an MFTHBA judge. We appreciate your commitment to excellence in the ring. A training session will be held at the Spring Show for those aspiring to join the judging ranks.
Versatility Judge Named for Spring Show
The Board approved Jennifer Roberts as the Versatility Judge for the upcoming Spring Show. We look forward to her contributions to this important portion of the event.
Youth in Equestrian Sports Policy Adopted
The Board passed a formal policy statement reinforcing our commitment to youth in equestrian sports. This policy emphasizes the MFTHBA’s dedication to fostering a safe, supportive, and educational environment for youth participants. We thank Stacey Ramsey for her help in locating training resources to educate Board members and committee chairs on this important topic.
Class Sponsor Incentive Program Launched
In a collaborative effort between the Show, Versatility, and Sponsorship Committees, the Board approved a new Class Sponsor Incentive Program. This initiative directs a portion of each class sponsorship at the Celebration back to the respective committee to enhance prize and award offerings. The sooner the sponsorship is received, the greater its impact on prizes and awards. To sponsor a class, please contact the office today.
Text Service Relaunch
Back by popular demand, we are relaunching our MFTHBA Text Service! Members have expressed how much they appreciated receiving news and updates directly to their phones. Watch for details soon on how to subscribe.
Legacy Championship Coming to the Celebration
Thank you to Josh Dampier and Beau Mantle for sharing their plans for the Legacy Championship, a special class organized by an independent group to be held during Friday night’s intermission at the Celebration. We are honored to host this event and look forward to sharing more as the organizing group announces details.
Investing in Social Media
MFTHBA will work with a professional content creator to elevate our social media presence. They are collecting content at the Spring Show. Thanks to generous member support, most of this effort is being funded by member donations. Your support is truly appreciated.
