Rotation Judge Selection Process will be used at Spring Show and Three Year Old Futurity

The Association will be using the rotation judge selection process for the 2019 Spring Show and Three Year Old Futurity.  All MFTHBA carded judges were sent letters requesting if they would be able to participate in the pool.  If you are a carded judge and do not receive a letter by April 26, please contact the MFTHBA office.

Potential judges will be asked to sign a statement of conflict of interest and to complete a detailed list outlining their immediate family (spouse, child, stepchild, parent, grandparent, grandchild, step-grandchild, step-parent, sibling, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, and in-law), trainers they have utilized in the past 60 days, and horses they have owned, exhibited, trained, coached, leased, ridden, driven, or served as a model handler within the last 6 months that they are not the owner of the record.  These items are outlined in the MFTHBA Rule Book as items that exclude a judge if an exhibitor or horse participating in the show falls into these categories.  Each day is considered a separate “show.”

Confidentiality remains a key component of the process. To protect the integrity of the show and breed, judges are instructed not to share which days they are included in the pool.

The Judge Accountability  Committee will be evaluating judges each night of the show.

Any judge that has questions should contact Judges Accountability Co-Chairman, Debbie Franklin, at 913-238-2759.
