With five months left for owners to enter their horses in the 2015 Three Year Old Futurity, entries are just two behind the total for 2014. Today, the MFTHBA announced 86 horses have been nominated to participate in the Three Year Old Futurity this coming June.

“We are pleased with the number of horses already entered and expect to exceed the entry total from 2014,” stated Dr. Joyce Graening, MFTHBA President.

This year’s list of horses includes three year olds sired by 50 different stallions. They have been nominated by more than 65 different owners and are the product of 75 different breeding programs.

The MFTHBA Three Year Old Futurity highlights the disposition of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse. During the event, the nominated three year olds will participate in their first performance show. “These young horses will be experiencing their first show when they enter the ring on Thursday night. It is a testament to the willing disposition of the breed that they respond so well. Our members put a great deal of work into preparing their horses for this event,” said Graening.

The 36th Annual Spring Show and Three Year Old Futurity will be held June 10-13, 2015 at the MFTHBA World Headquarters in Ava, Missouri. In addition to the Three Year Old Futurity, the event will include performance and versatility competition for horses of all ages. The MFTHBA will again host a Trail Obstacle Challenge Jackpot as well as daily trail rides. The MFTHBA Youth Committee will host the annual National Youth Seminar during the event. A complete show schedule should be released in mid-February.
