MFTHBA Spring Show Entry Process
The MFTHBA Spring Show will offer a discounted pre-entry option to assist with efficient show management and provide cost savings to our exhibitors. Please review the information below to ensure your entries are submitted correctly and on time.
Entry Fees
- Youth Classes: $10
- Preliminary/Versatility Classes: $30
- Championship Classes: $35
Exciting News: Youth Versatility Entry Fees and Ranch Sorting Cattle Fees are waived thanks to a sponsorship by Hughes Stables!
Pre-Entry Discount
A $5 per class discount will be applied to exhibitors who pre-enter by the designated deadlines below.
Pre-Entry Options & Deadlines
- Mail-In Pre-Entries
- The entry form will be posted by Wednesday, May 14.
- Must be received by the MFTHBA Office no later than Friday, June 6.

Ava, MO 65608 - Include completed entry form and check for payment. If you would like to pay electronically, feel free to email completed form along with a request for an online invoice to the office.

- Opens Monday, May 19
- Deadline is end of day Monday, June 9
- Exhibitors must complete entries through the app.
- Note: In-app payment is not available for this show. Fees must be paid at the show office.
Entries submitted after these deadlines will not be eligible for the discounted rate.
Pre-Entry Pickup and Payment
- Exhibitors who pre-enter may pick up back numbers and pay (if needed) in the MFTHBA Office beginning Tuesday, June 10.
- This process will streamline check-in and reduce wait times for those arriving early.
Membership & Documentation Reminders
To ensure a smooth entry process, exhibitors are strongly encouraged to complete the following by Friday, May 16:
- Purchase or renew MFTHBA memberships
- Obtain or renew Amateur/Professional cards
- Complete any necessary horse transfers
Completing these items by May 16 will ensure your information is current in the show management system and help avoid delays during check-in.
Entry Requirements for Horse, Owner and Exhibitor
To Enter the horse in the show:
- ALL horses entered in the show must be registered in the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Assoc. or Missouri Fox Trotting Pony Registry
- You must present current negative Coggins papers (within 1 year) with the horse pass sticker at entry desk when entering for classes.
- ALL horses entering the show grounds MUST have a current negative Coggins (EIA) test. These test results must be issued within a year. The Board recommends that all horses be vaccinated for influenza. The state of Missouri requires horses entering from outside the state to have a certificate of veterinary inspection.
- The owner of the horse must be a current MFTHBA
Exhibitor requirements
- All exhibitors must be a current member of the MFTHBA with the exception of Lead Line riders.
- Exhibitors must have either an amateur card or a professional card unless entering an undesignated class. Youth riders do not require a card to show in youth classes.
- Exhibitors are responsible for entering the correct class and knowing the requirements to enter.
- All exhibitors will be expected to comply with the Rules, Standards & Policies book. Any exhibitor causing undue disturbance or exhibiting poor sportsmanship will be barred from showing in this show and will forfeit all winnings for this show.
- Each exhibitor will be assessed a show entry fee with the exception of youth classes.

- Opens: Tuesday, June 10
- Operating Hours:
- Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Lunch Breaks:
- The Show Entry Office will remain open during lunch
- The MFTHBA Main Office will close during lunch
Additional Notes
- On-site entries will be accepted in the show office. However, HorseShowTracker App entries during the show will not be activated. We hope to have this open, along with in-app payment, at the Celebration.
- Pre-entry is encouraged to take advantage of cost savings and reduce check-in times.
