MFTHBA Launches Updated Website

The Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association (MFTHBA) launched a new, updated version of MFTHBA.com today.  The much anticipated site was spearheaded by Mr. Jarrod Freeman, Region 3 Director.

“In the past several MFTHBA surveys, we have heard from the users of the site that they wanted a more functional, easy to use website.  The Board was delighted when Jarrod agreed to take the lead on developing something that would be more user friendly,” said Dr. Joyce Graening, MFTHBA President.

While the site is still a work in process, initial feedback from the test group indicated that users did indeed find it easier to navigate.  “There are still quite a few things that we will be adding over the next year to make the site even more functional as well as more convenient for users.  However, we felt it was important to get the new site launched prior to it being fully completed to assist our members and users of the site to find the information that they need,” Dr. Graening added.

The site already features some added functionality for users.  Some of the highlights include:

  • A comprehensive Calendar (https://mfthba.com/calendar/): The new calendar features numerous views and sorting options to make it easy for users to find the events they are looking for.  In addition, the “post your event” button allows users to submit items to be added to the calendar.  Users are encouraged to submit Missouri Fox Trotting Horse specific events, in addition, any show with Open Gaited Breed classes may also submit their event to be added to the calendar.  Once submitted, users can anticipate their event being added within one business day.
  • A better was to view the Rulebook (https://mfthba.com/rulebook/): The new view option for the rule book makes it easier for users to select the section they need within the publication.
  • Easy access to the Member Login (https://mfthba.com/members/ ): MFTHBA members will find the member log in button at the top of each page making it easy for them to access this section.  Members should note that the log in procedure has changed.  To log in to this area, members should use the email address on file with the MFTHBA for their user id and their membership number as the password.  If you have any issues access this area, please contact the MFTHBA office.
  • Easier search for Fox Trot Service Net (https://mfthba.com/fox-trot-service-net/): If you are looking for Missouri Fox Trotting Horse connections in your area, Fox Trot Service Net is where to start.  The new listing allows you to search by state for farms in your area or by utilizing the “advanced search” button you can search by service.

There are many more wonderful new features to the website and users should anticipate more being added in the next year.  “We hope the users of MFTHBA.com enjoy the updates.  We certainly are not done.  We want to continue to improve the site in the years to come,” Dr. Graening added.
