Hall Of Fame Committee Selection Guidelines
1. The MFTHBA Board of Directors shall appoint a Board Representative, to work with the HOF committee: assist with correspondences, mailings, coordinating with MFTHBA office staff.
2. The HOF Committee Chairperson is Floyd Hurst, Committee members are Roy Brown, Donnie Crawford, Clyde Connelly, and Don Cunningham. If the committee chair or any member is unable to continue to serve on the committee, the remaining members shall select a replacement to fill the vacancy. The new member must be in the Hall of Fame.
3. The Board Representative and HOF committee members shall not make any nominations.
4. Nominations for individuals or horses must be postmark, no later than June 15, of the nominating year.
5. After June 15, the committee shall meet to review all of the nominations for new inductees to the MFTHBA Hall of Fame. All achievements, credits, and contributions to the breed for evaluation by the committee members. Applicants will be voted on by secret ballot, with a majority vote. In the occurrence of a tied the committee shall re-vote.
6. There shall be a maximum of four (4) individuals or horses. The committee may select less than four (4), if nominees do not meet the standards for the HOF.
7. The Names of the selected candidates shall be approved by the MFTHBA Board of Directors at the August regular board meeting.
8. Nominator and nominees must be a current member of the MFTHBA.
9. Nomination forms will be available at the office and on the MFTHBA website.
10. Awards shall be presented at the World Show and Celebration, in Ava, Missouri.
