Arena Light Improvement Project Complete

We are excited to share that the new arena lights at the MFTHBA grounds are now fully installed and operational. On Thursday, the lights were turned on and tested for the first time. Special thanks go to Region 6 Director Brian Land and Trainers Committee Chairman Brad Huffman for meeting with the installation crew to ensure the lights were tested and adjusted properly.

This project represents a $30,000 improvement to the MFTHBA showgrounds, made possible entirely through member donations and the valued partnership of the City of Ava, which assisted with installation. We are deeply grateful to the many members who stepped forward to support this upgrade. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on the future of our grounds.

To help ensure the long-term maintenance of the arena lighting system, we are implementing one change: only designated individuals will be authorized to turn the lights on. This safeguard will help prevent unnecessary wear on the system and protect the investment made by our members.

Exhibitors can expect the lights to be on for evening practice on:

  • Thursday, August 28
  • Friday, August 29
  • Saturday, August 30

Lights will be turned on around 7:00 p.m. each night and will remain on throughout the evening. During the show, they will be turned on nightly.

This project is a testament to what we can accomplish when members come together to support the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse. Thank you again to everyone who contributed—your support is lighting the way forward for our association.
