5th Annual Brushy Creek/Valley Springs Foxtrotters National Trail Ride, October 25-27. There are 40+ water and electric camping spots a few with sewer, dump station, cabins and primitive camping available. There are 5 barns with covered stalls, round pens or corrals. Trails End Restaurant available for meals or eat on your own. Saturday evening dinner provided by the lodge. Over 120 miles of trails moderate to hard. Shoes recommended for horses. Current coggins for in state horses and coggins and heath certificate for out of state horses.

Nick Cox Memorial Trail Ride, May 20-21, 2020. Sponsored by the Louisiana Chapter of the MFTHBA at the Rustic Sky Horse Camp, Melder LA. Facilities: 51 campsites $30 and 6 cabins $100, covered stalls for the horses $7.50 per day. Trails are easy riding with hardwood bottoms and pine plantations with very little rock. Dogwoods and wild azaleas may be in bloom. There will be a 3 to 4 hr ride on Friday and Saturday. Free super on Friday night provided by the LA affiliate and potluck on Saturday. There will be a $5 fee if riding for MFTHBA points.
