The MFTHBA Board of Directors met on Monday, August 18. The meeting was livestreamed for members through the members-only site. Formal minutes will be posted after approval at the next meeting. Below are a few highlights:

• Hall of Fame Inductions: The Board accepted the recommendation of the Hall of Fame Committee to induct Steve Dampier and Fax Anne into the MFTHBA Hall of Fame. Their induction will take place on Saturday, September 6, at the World Show and Celebration.
• Weanling Model Rule Change:
  Last year, a rule change adjusted the age eligibility for the Weanling Model class. The change unintentionally created a gap, leaving some horses ineligible to show as weanlings but also not eligible to show as yearlings. To address this, the Board approved posting a new rule change for member feedback that would revert the rule back to its previous form. Watch for details to be posted soon.
• Temporary Class Adjustment for 2025 Celebration:
  The Board also acted to accommodate exhibitors who had prepared fall foals to show this year but were affected by the previous rule change. For 2025, the Amateur Weanling Model World Grand Championship class will be replaced with an Open Fall Foal Model World Grand Championship. Spring foals will show in the Open Weanling Model World Grand Championship, while fall foals will show in the new Open Fall Foal Model World Grand Championship.
  This is a one-year adjustment to address the impact of last year’s rule change. The Board acknowledges that entries may be affected, as some exhibitors did not prepare foals for this year’s Celebration due to the rule as it stood. We greatly appreciate the feedback shared by our members and thank everyone for their understanding as we move forward.
