Bob Burns Memorial Trail Ride @ Rockbridge Trout Ranch
May 10 all-day

Sponsored by the Douglas County Fox Trotter Affiliate. May 10 & 11 at The Rockbridge Trout & Game Ranch in Rockbridge, MO. Six standing corrals and room for personal corrals. Eight electrical hookups and primitive camping. Potluck dinner on Friday evening. The affiliate will provide the meat, buns and water. There is 15 miles of trimmed trails. Two guided rides per day 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm. Return to campground for lunch. Hills, valleys and water crossings. https://www.rockbridgemo.com/

Bryce Canyon National Trail Ride @ Bryce Canyon National Park
May 24 all-day

Hosted by the Utah Fox Trotting Horse Affiliate. As part of the National Trail Ride on Friday, May 24th we will ride a section of the Rim Trail followed by a potluck dinner. The affiliate will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs, please bring a salad, desert, drink or side dish. Dinner will be a 7pm. Please RSVP Mike Huntsman at 435-315-6557.  We will be riding inside the park on Saturday, May 25th. Because the park officials prefer we ride in small groups rather than a large one, those riders wanting to ride inside the park will make their own reservations with the park official (Dana 435-834-4736). There will be a ride starting at 7:30am, 12:30 pm 4:30 pm, 5:00pm and continuing each half hour until sunset.

In order to ride in the park a current coggins, health certificate and travel permit(brand inspection for out of state horses) is required.

Primitive camping during the trip; From Hwy 89 head East on Hwy 12 for about 10.5 miles. Turn right (South) on the Tropic Reservoir Road(dirt road). Drive 13 m to the Kanab Creek turn off. Turn right, drive 3/4 of a mile and turn right. Pull through the green metal gate and find a place to park/camp. Ruby’s Inn has  accommodations and stall rentals for those preferring not to primitive camp. Trails are moderate but are at 8000 feet so some conditioning is recommended. Shoes or boots are also recommended. Certified weed free hay is required.

MFTHBA Spring Show National Trail Ride @ Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association
Jun 4 all-day

Hosted by the MFTHBA National Trail Ride committee.   Tuesday’s ride will leave across from the MFTHBA showgrounds at 9am. All other rides will meet and leave the trailheads at 10am. Bring a sack lunch. The committee recommends that all horses be shod.
