Individuals interested in becoming a carded judge can take the first step this September.  The Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association (MFTHBA) Judges Committee will host a certification seminar on September 5, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The seminar will be held at the versatility arena at the MFTHBA showgrounds in Ava, Missouri.

The seminar will include instruction on scoring and judging Versatility.  Topics include correct tack and attire, scoring showmanship, horsemanship, and trail obstacles. In addition to providing an educational opportunity for potential judges and current carded versatility judges, the Judges Committee is also stressing the value for seasoned and new exhibitors.

This seminar will detail what judges look for in each class and how to judge each component.

Individuals interested in attending the training are encouraged to register early.  Those interested in obtaining their judge’s cards may attend for $30.  Auditors must pay a $25 fee.
