The MFTHBA congratulates Dandy’s Blue Harley on being named a Top 5 MFTHBA Breeding Sire.  Owned by Sandra Mattison of Summersville, Missouri, Dandy’s Blue Harley is named a Top 5 Breeding Sire for the 1st time.  Dandy’s Blue Harley was bred by Sheila Barton Sanders of Birch Tree, Missouri.  Dandy’s Blue Harley was sired by Blue’s Little Dandy and out of Minnie Amanda (by Apache’s Royal Sash).

The MFTHBA thanks Sandra Mattison for her contributions to the future generations of Missouri Fox Trotters through her stallion, Dandy’s Blue Harley. Dandy’s Blue Harley and Ms. Mattison will be formally recognized for this accomplishment at the 2022 Spring Show and Three Year Old Futurity.

The MFTHBA Membership Committee established the Breeding Sire of the Year award to recognize stallions providing significant impact to the continuation of the breed.  In addition, the award was designed to encourage foal registration in a timely manner, something that helps the MFTHBA in its task to preserve the registry of the breed.

The criteria for the award are simple:

• All stallions who submit an on-time stallion breeding report are eligible.
• The 2021 Top Breeding Sires represent the stallions with the most foals born in 2021 and registered with the MFTHBA by December 31, 2021.

In 2021, Stallion Breeding Reports were submitted for 147 stallions. Those stallions came from 5 different countries and 21 different states.  46% of the stallions lived in the state of Missouri.
