Congratulations to Jester’s Charming Legend for being named a 2021 Top 5 Stallion. This is the seventh year that he has been named a Top 5 stallion.  Jester’s Charming Legend was bred by Larry Robbins of Farmington, Arkansas, and he is owned by Brian Oglesby of Perry, Missouri.

Jester’s Charming Legend’s offspring included the following title winners in 2021: Open 5 Years & Over World Grand Champion, Legendary Annie Oakley, owned by Brad Matlock; the Amateur Owned Three Year Old World Grand Champion, Legend’s Lady Mae M, owned by Andy Mantle; and the Open Amateur Two Year Old World Grand Champion, Cowgirl Legend, owned by Larry Robbins.

The MFTHBA congratulates Jester’s Charming Legend and Brian Oglesby. Thank you for your contributions to the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse breed.

The Stallion of the Year Award:

Designed to honor the stallion with the most successful offspring at MFTHBA sponsored shows, a point system was applied to all MFTHBA show classes.  Thanks to the new MFTHBA database, this was the first year that all classes earned points towards this award.  In the past, only Futurity classes, Futurity championship classes, Spring Show championship classes, and World Grand Championship classes were counted.  In 2021, 122 stallions earned points toward the award.

This week we will highlight each stallion in the Top 5 for the award leading up to the naming of the 2021 MFTHBA Stallion of the Year on Friday.

All Top 5 Stallions will be honored at the 2022 Spring Show and Futurity in June.
