The Kansas City Regional Fox Trotting Horse Association (KCRFTHA) and the St. Louis Regional Fox Trotters (STLRFT), both MFTHBA affiliates, are pleased to announce their partnership to organize and develop the REGION 4 FOX TROT FALL FESTIVAL Horse Show on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Missouri State Fair Grounds in Sedalia, Mo.

The KCRFTHA and STLRFT, along with the MFTHBA Region 4 Director, have provided initial seed money to establish the yearly event and have established a planning team for the show. “I have been extremely excited about the project since Chris McQueen with the St. Louis affiliate contacted me about partnering on it,” shared MFTHBA Region 4 Director, Amber Wilson.  “I hope this will lead into other Region 4 events as well as serve as a model to how this type of event can be hosted in other MFTHBA Regions.”

“This will be a great opportunity for our region to come together to promote our state horse, the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse,” added Ron Bacon STLRFT President.

In 2016, the Region 4 Fox Trot Fall Festival will feature Missouri Fox Trotting Horse performance classes along with Open Gaited Breed versatility classes in a one day show format.  “We are excited to be partnering with the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri, to host the show,” adds Chris McQueen, STLRFT and planning team member. “It is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our breed at a venue we do not currently host a show and to be able to feature the Missouri state horse at the state fairgrounds.”

While organized and hosted by the affiliates in Region 4, the show is open to all exhibitors regardless of the location of their residence.  “Region 4 is planning the event, but we hope Missouri Fox Trotting Horse enthusiasts from all Regions will support the show as exhibitors,” shared Shawn Stangl, KCRFTHA President.
